I'm about to brutally honest, because when you've been locked down for almost more than a year, apparently there isn't really much else to do, but write honest reviews on movies and series your binged watching.
So here we go.
I love big Hollywood blockbuster movies. Who doesn't?
When the big production companies spend vast amounts of money, to make the really big movies, with all the CGI effects, cool explosions, big Hollywood actor names, and of course superpowers!!.
Which is why I am thoroughly disappointed.
The movie started out great, then unfortunately turned into the most predictably lame female superhero movie, I have ever watched. With all the money, and new technology, and new ideas and talent in Hollywood and the movie industry, that, was the sequel for Wonder Women 2?
You should be ashamed of yourselves.
Like okay, what was good about it....
The beginning was good, Diana's background.
The idea to bring back steve in another man's body, and how the only thing she wants she can't have. Very moving indeed.
But I'm sorry, the rest was a shambles.
And that random story of that Asteria person, to bring the gold armour into the storyline. Confusinggggggg
I would have preferred to see an adventure or quest or mission to obtain the Gold Armour, and then some unexpected twist or something!? But no, it was stored in her study room. How exciting.
Oh, and the scene, when wonder women saved the (good girl turn bad cat lady) then walked off, and was like "oh forgot my keys, it's easy ill teach you." Lameeeeeeeeeeeeee.
And what was even more exciting. That antagonist, and the storyline of the Villian! -___- Bloody hell. (Yes I am being sarcastic) I'm not even going to start on the whole disaster that was Max Lord, because.... -_-. Yh.
To conclude...
Please stop using scriptwriters who worked on movies through the 1950s, and hire some fresh talent with new ideas. It is disappointing, to say the least when one is able to predict the outcome, of how every single scene will go.
But alas, I will be hopeful of a movie that is able to perform and captivate, in the way that Avatar was able to. (And yes, We are still waiting for that sequel)
