I'm really enjoying this show. Yes, it is very different from previous Yu-gi-oh animated series. It took me a while to get used to it, but the story really grabbed me. I feel that this show has some of the better writing, story pacing, and character development that I've seen in the series. Instead of dealing with the supernatural, VRAINS goes a very "sci-fi" route which is interesting, but is really a natural evolution for the series. Also, only watch the sub on Crunchyroll. 4kids dubs are terrible and should never be touched with a ten foot pole.
