Five feet apart is a beautiful romantic young adult fiction novel written by Rachel Lippincott with Mikky Daughtry and Tobias Iaconis. It is a beautiful love story of two young CF patients, Will and Stella. Two people with CF(cystic fibrosis) cannot come close to each other because they carry bacteria in their lungs which could be harmful for both of them. They should maintain atleast 6 feet distance at all the time. Therefore it is quite hard for them to love in this condition, as they can't even touch the person they love. But this is a journey with lots of complications, excitements, happiness, sadness, anger, fear, friendship and lot other emotions. It talk so much about the struggles and life of CF patients. As this book was written based on a screenplay for a movie, there are many flaws in it, like at some point the realistic elements are missing. But overall it is a beautifully written book, with a beautiful content. And also it has a power to bring smile and tears on a reader. Anyway apart from a love story, it gives us so much information about the disease 'cystic fibrosis'. This book is mainly written for bringing an awareness about this disease and the patients. And I think the author was able to achieve that purpose. I am not giving this book a 5 stars, because there are many flaws in this book and i think it could've been written better. But if you love to read teenage romance and drama, I am sure you will like it..
