What started out as a corny telenovela type comedy has become absolute must-see tv. The acting may be Over-The-Top 80's kitschy sometimes but the plot is truly enthralling. It's difficult for a tv-series to have all characters for which you are genuinely wishing them the very best, but that's what Acapulco has become as it progresses through its 2nd season. The joy of family, the happiness of friendships and the innocence of romance are perfectly showcased in Acapulco. I seriously did not think this show would get me addicted...hell, I didn't even think it would survive more than a couple of episodes. Now it's become the first thing that I put on my tv to watch on Fridays.

Absolutely fantastic show. The episode where prisioners are let go due to the pandemic had me teary-eyed. We tend to forget that most of the people in jails are people who weren't inherently evil but just committed a mistake along the way. Anyone who has been in jail can tell you that being free is priceless. Aaron Wallace is a person who earns our sympathy, empathy and respect. This is a must watch, epic story that will tug at your heartstrings, make you think about a different perspective in regards to criminal justice and have you fully invested in the characters. It is truly the highlight of my weekly tv experience.
