There is some really awesome aspects to this game. I love the character design, the voice acting is great. Kamala Khan is a fantastic addition and easily one of the best bits of this game.
One of the worst parts is playing as Hulk. He is virtually unbeatable yet time and time again he's defeated by some manky robots. It doesn't feel authentic at all and the developers clearly didn't have the courage to make Hulk as he should be. They had to video-game him.
The set up is cluttered and annoying, the missions are mostly filler and the same. It might be harsh to compare this to Spiderman on PS4 but spiderman is a fantastic superhero game, this is nothing more than a phoned in cash cow. I had heard the story was at least worthwhile but in all honesty I can't get past the filler and the irritating mission set up, there's so much filler and just bang average things going on. I think that's the biggest issue with this game, it's bang average, painfully average. This could have been so much more but it stinks of businessmen interfering and trying to jump on a bandwagon that was already dying. Just like Fallout did and it was too late to get on it. Next time just make a flipping game and not shoehorn in all this "live service" garbage.
I'm fed up with business men at game companies telling gamers what they want, apparently we don't want single player, story driven games. Yet spiderman was one of the biggest hits of this generation and Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order was a huge success too. I really wanted to love this game but I can't. It is a huge own goal and a complete waste of everyone's time.
