Multiple stories on different timelines are all joined together by a single story-in-a-story to make the point that we need such fictions to ease our way thru life, and death. Very well done and quite moving.

A fun read with an underlying theme of the fundamental equality of all people. Pursue your dreams; don't pigeon-hole yourself based on arbitrary rules others define about who and what you can be.

This story just knocked me out from beginning to end. I'm not sure I've ever read anything better.

If you liked Ancillary Justice, you'll probably enjoy the sequel just as well.

Exactly what made the Pulitzer committee give the award to this novel eludes me. It's a competent story with a little twist, but all told it's not thick sauce.

I love Kingsolver's The Poisonwood Bible and The Lacuna, but Demon Copperhead, while good, seems like a lesser work. Mostly, I stopped caring enough about the protagonist when Kingsolver's had him make one too many bad life decisions.
