We recommend that readers interested in the topic of baptism, read the more comprehensive (390-page) book entitled “Water Baptism and Spirit Baptism” by Ken Lenz. In that book, Dr. Lenz distinguishes between water baptism and the baptism of the Holy Spirit. He addresses the issue of why the book of Acts speaks of those who were baptized in the name of the Jesus Christ, while Matthew’s Gospel quotes Jesus’ commission to baptize “in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit” (28:19). That book further addresses all other issues raised in this book, yet without challenging the biblical teaching of the Trinity.
