I love this show. Identity crisis? Hardly! It uses a device even Shakespeare used, sending our emotions from laughter one minute to crying the next, and that's part of its fascination. If viewers can't grasp that, perhaps they need to wean off computers and other programs that too clearly tell them how to think or to understand the unpredictability of life, particularly if you're a police officer. It's brilliantly written, equally well acted, and is delightful in settings in sunny California. I think it's one of the best shows on T.V. this year, and it's certainly one of the best cop shows EVER.
