I haven’t finished it yet, I’m at the halfway mark so I’ll update this review once I finish!
I’m usually a sucker for this kind of drama but it feel like there is something missing.
The female lead’s entire personality is centered around her crushing for the male lead which makes her feel a bit 2-dimensional.
It even feels like her “drawing talent” was something mentioned initially then thrown on the back burner, only to be given cameos for plot convenience.
Maybe I’m upset because I have mild 2nd male lead syndrome. But, she (so far) has not ONCE looked at Wu Bosong despite everything he does for her. I’m not saying he’s obligated to have her affection just because he’s nice. And I honestly want her with the male lead so far. But, at least give Wu a shining moment to make her heart flutter for a second, even if he loses in the end 😔
Despite my overall annoyance with the female lead, there must be a reason I’m still watching!
Stay tuned for my update!!
