It’s been a while since an animated series really gripped me. Especially one that drew me in because of the style, movement and color. But Arcane did. The storyline is perhaps overly ambitious at times but the characters are so well done that I I am immediately sucked into each and every scene and dalliance with the plot. Some of the female character’s outfits and body types are undoubtedly portrayed through the male lens but they’re personalities and arcs are so rich that, for me, it’s easy to look past. I look forward to a second season as soon as possible.
