Don’t Let the Drama Fool You Despite the flood of 1-star reviews tanking its rating, Another Simple Favour is actually a solid and thoroughly entertaining sequel that deserves far more credit than it’s getting. A lot of the negativity seems to stem from the controversy surrounding Blake Lively, but if you look past that and judge the film on its own merits, there’s a lot to appreciate here. The story picks up with the same sharp wit and dark twists that made the first film so addictive. It’s stylish, playful, and confidently leans into its own absurdity without losing the thread. Anna Kendrick once again delivers a charmingly awkward performance that balances the film’s comedic and suspenseful tones perfectly. Blake Lively, despite the off-screen controversy, still commands the screen with her mysterious, magnetic presence. The pacing is tight, the dialogue is clever, and the twists—while wild—are part of the fun. It doesn’t try to be overly deep or serious, and that’s what makes it work. It knows exactly what it is: a glossy, cheeky thriller with flair. If you enjoyed the first one, this sequel hits the right notes. In short, ignore the noise. Another Simple Favour is a wickedly fun ride, and it’s a shame so many are letting outside drama overshadow what is, at its core, a damn good film.

Despite a strong cast, The Substance is an absolute disaster, proving that even talented actors can’t save a film from a horrendous script. It’s genuinely embarrassing that this is now part of their filmography because the writing is so juvenile that it feels like it was written by a horny 16-year-old boy with no grasp of storytelling. The film lacks the most basic elements that make a movie engaging—character development is nonexistent, the dialogue is painfully bad, and the entire premise feels like it’s trying too hard to be edgy without any real depth. Instead of building tension or exploring its themes in a meaningful way, it relies on shallow shock value that comes off as desperate rather than disturbing. Visually, it has some interesting moments, but that’s about the only positive thing to say. The pacing is a mess, and any attempt at emotional or psychological depth is completely undercut by how immature and one-note the writing is. It’s baffling how this script ever got the green light, considering how much it fails at basic storytelling. Overall, The Substance is an absolute train wreck. It squanders a great cast on a script that belongs in the trash, and it’s a shame these actors now have this embarrassment attached to their careers. If you’re looking for a horror film with depth, tension, or even basic competence, this is not it. Just because you can make a movie, it doesn't mean you should.

fantastic series can’t wait for season 2

amazing game i love dead by daylight and glad this game is apart of the same universe. really enjoyable and likeable characters.

Absolutely loved it I was on edge the whole time! Ignore most of the bad reviews, they are comparing it to the actual Squid Games show. This is a game show, they need to make is as fair as possible for everyone.

The cheesy acting is beyond cringe. This is not a good movie.

The only reason this show is getting two stars is because season 1 & 2. They were good seasons. The first seasons were absolutely amazing, love the storyline and the characters. However after season 2 the storyline was getting boring and stupid. It went from intense murder mystery to a fairyland magical board game, it was like watching a knock-off Harry Potter film gone horribly wrong! Honestly, I recommend watching season 1 and 2, they were genuinely exciting to watch. But I don’t recommend watching anymore after that, it will be a waste of time.
