It’s a D-list science fiction film that’s more fiction than science. It pretends like it’s clever but constantly rips off overused cliches in a way that feels less-than-genuine, and not in a tongue-in-cheek sort of way that some films can get away with. I never leave reviews, but even after a few drinks this film is just embarrassing. It’s an action film for dude-bros with a ton of lame one liners, attempts at historical references, forced dialogue, assumed prior knowledge of the universe/simultaneously telling and not showing… just… ugh.
