the storyline itself is what made me somewhat sleepy at times, because the anime was written by a physics major (i’m not kidding at all) instead of someone who knows what the audience of the franchise itself likes, i.e. characters that aren’t borderline one-dimensional or more screen time for kaiju. i’m hoping the second season manages to find a writer that makes an effort to improve the flaws the first season had because there is no way people will listen to the forgettable physics jargon dialogue that takes up 90% of the show.
