It should be obvious to people in general that the virus which has come to Canada and the US has come from the major airports allowing planes full of people to disembark at the same time. The passport control lines at the airport were packed with people. Just because they were not coming from China, Iran, South Korea, and Italy did not mean that there were no people infected. Pearson International Airport is so poorly run that it took 30 to 40 minutes after our passports were checked by machines for us to finally get out from the throngs of people in the hall. All the while our prime minister and Trump encouraging all their residents to come home before they close the borders. So they actually have caused the crisis to escalate. We were away at the time, in the Netherlands, where the virus was nearly non-existent, and because we had to fly to Pearson Airport it put us in a dangerous position and now have to isolate ourselves for 14 days. Had we stayed in the Netherlands with our family we would not have had to go through any of this. I might add that at Schippoll Airport in the Netherlands unlike Pearson Airport presented no problem with accumulation of people in a single hall. There were no line ups not even going through security. What if there was a plague in Europe would Trump be telling US residents to return home immediately. I am scared what this will show to terrorists. We have not responded very well to this situation at the very top of our administrations.
