So, I’ve never done a review of anything before, but this needs to be done because this movie had the theatrical range and all of the intelligence of an airline salad. Seriously. Do not watch this if you have anything better to be doing, which can include fishing, cleaning your hamsters cage, watching a history documentary. The list goes on and on. Basically - believe me - you have a life to live so do the best you can to avoid wasting your time on this piece of garbage.
To give you a quick overview: the film a highly slow and boring to start with, which is something I don’t mind for horror films if there’s a decent narrative and a fair amount of suspense, but we weren’t lucky enough to have this for the ‘open house’ lol. Also, there’s a really, really bad ending. Like, I’ve seen a lot of films with bad endings, but this one leaves you feeling the way you feel when you win a raffle and find out the prize is a can of soup. After the short scene of tension and, to an extent, excitement - probably were the 23% came from on Rotten Tomatoes - we are left with (spoiler alert if you are mad enough to watch it) both main characters dying, the mysterious, crazy woman having zero context and explanation to her actually purpose other than being a creep, and to top it off, the killer isn’t even revealed. Great. Thank you the ‘open house’ for wasting my Sunday night when I could’ve been writing my will or something.
