Ari Aster could be the most polarising director we have seen in some time. People either love or hate this film or get it or don’t get it.
I loved this film. Visual storytelling at its finest. Aster certainly has a unique style.
Toni Collette and Alex Wolff give outstanding performances. I would go as far to say Collette’s acting is arguably the best I’ve ever seen (especially the dinner table scene). How she wasn’t nominated for an Oscar is beyond me.
My only criticism would be that I’m not totally sold on the closing scene although I didn’t mind it.
If you watch this film and your a little unsure or confused I recommend you watch it a 2nd time where you may well realise it’s brilliance.
