I dont watch many movies and this dumpster fire is a perfect example of why.
Why are almost all new movies made in the past few years so ridiculous and totally unbelievable? I can suspend belief for sci-fi movies as I know that sometimes you have to bend the rules to make a story work, but this movie acts as if there are no rules. I stopped caring after they mentioned a "previously undiscovered habitable moon" around jupiter. A middle schooler with a C- in science would know how ridiculous that is. Also, you mean to tell me that not a f***ing soul on earth would've sent a message to the crew coming back? Give me a break, these two ridiculous premises are MAJOR parts of the movie and both are incredibly lazy and utterly unbelievable.
***Disclaimer***
I didnt finish the movie, I started falling asleep about ten minutes after Clooney swam in the arctic ocean for like a minute and a half, got out, put on a jacket and was able to survive through a snowstorm at night at the coldest place on earth..what a badass right? Nobody else, past or present, could survive that but tough old George did because why not..
Anyway, maybe it got a thousand times better after I fell asleep, thats the only explanation I can come up with to explain any ratings that aren't a one.
Dont waste your time
