I lived in Southeast Asia in 1963 -1980, including almost three years in Vietnam, so Peter Glick's book brought back many memories. It is a wonderful story that shows how well the strong Vietnamese character survived the French and American influence and occupation and it's also a beautiful, entertaining and quite original love story.
