You have to feel sorry for Bob Odenkirk.
The guy is a great, versatile actor who rose to fame playing a character (Saul Goodman) who is all brain, zero fists. although he is surrounded by violent goons and is a criminal himself. You would expect him to get similar offers (not identical, he doesn't need to repeat himself, but along similar lines)
Instead, he stars in this idiotic bloodfest on steroids.
Without spoiling anything, he acts as a regular thinking human being for about 15 minutes, after which he turns into a raging killing machine. Coupled with a bunch of other characters who also reveal a surprising affinity for heavy firearms, what was looking to be a mediocre movie turns out to be an unmitigated disaster.
By the way, Odenkirk is not alone here: the very good Russian actor Alexei Serebryakov, who starred in the great "Leviathan" playing a humble Russian done wrong by a corrupt system (not the Communist one, but the modern Russia of wealthy priests and wealthier politicians), is also reduced here to a gun wielding zombie.
