I loved the first Rambo movie in the 80's. This is the first film since that movie came out more than 30 years ago that recapture the magic and fear. This film was of of-course a bit more realistic a portrayal than Stallone's. And just like that move - a new star is born (in Aaron Pierce). I am eagerly looking forward to seeing more of him. His last Prime move Foe, was quite good too.

Any good sci-fi story is ultimately a journey into the human psyche and this exploration will reveal our highest aspirations and the darkness too. All I am left with after watching this series is more questions with no resolutions. First up how do they create extra gravity on the moon? If physics is the same everywhere in our solar system. Why does water seem to have such strange properties on the moon ( according to this series)? I was watching this story waiting for that exploration of the human condition, alas nothing nada, zilch. Bae Doona carried this story or what is left of it after all the regurgitated sci-fi tropes and sub-plots are all drained life.

I am giving this film mainly because of the performances of the lead actors. They took an overly messy script and tried to make something out of nothing. This movie insults the intelligence of the viewer. The ending is a complete slap in the face.

One of the best sci-fi films of the 90's and indeed any time period. It was not flashy or slick like the science fiction films of the period - think, Jurassic Park, Independence Day, Men in Black. Here was a thinking person's film in an era that redefined the movie blockbuster, forever. Powder was truly a deep film study of human fears, love and hate. It asked the viewer to feel sympathy not just for the lead characters but also the others who would inflict pain on him - simply out of ignorance. This movie had a strange religious undertones to it, most sci-fi flicks will not dear go there. Too bad most people back then never embraced this movie for what it was trying to show us. Why do we innately fear and sometimes, ultimately destroy anything and indeed anyone not like the us.

In most apocalyptic sci-fi movies with a similar plot (I Am Legend, the book of eli, the road, etc, etc...) the main protagonist is a man - or two. We never get to see what life would be like for a woman in the same isolationistic predicament. In this film Margot Robbie shows us both sexes would predictably suffer the same fate. It's interesting how desperate her character became and how quickly she welcomes a total stranger in her midst (Ejiofor). Then as Chris Pine's character comes into the midst of the little world she inhabits with Ejiofor's - things inevitably falls apart. Even at the end of time, human beings will still find a way to destroy what little heaven we have left.

What a revelation! This is a true western in the 1950's and 60's revenge cinematic operas, in the vein of Bronson or Gary Cooper. This movie has an insane start and a ferocious and mind bending ending. The star power is Ludacris and every person carry their own weight, kudos to Del Roy Lindo, Zazie Beetz, Majors and King. I couldn't wait for it to come out on Netflix. I had to pay for a ticket and see it in the cinema. I wasn't disappointed. Well done.

What happens when you mix a bit of the Blade franchise with tom cruise jamie foxx 's movie Collateral? You get a fresh take on the vampire movie trope. Throw in some cool cameos from Meagan Fox and Sydney Sweeney to boot. The three leads carry this film.

This film is just horrible. The trailer sets it up to be an action sci-fi set in not the usual environment. However it is simple a mindless Hodge podge of hollywood stereotypes. The film producers made a film and forget to give it's main characters and supporting casts any sensible dialogues, personality or brains for that matter. Stay away if you value your time or intelligence.

Great period piece. If you like Sense and Sensibility or Emma, you'll love this. Great acting and very beautiful people to boot.

This is a new Trek for the current times. Yet it harkens back more closer to TNG than TOS. Season 3 is a great improvement on the previous seasons of the show.
