Powder Blue

Its bad! The original alien to me is one of my favorite movies I think it's a masterpiece. I'm a big fan of most of the alien spin-offs except for prometheus. This movie is worse than Prometheus by far. I started getting bored with watching alien Romulus after about 20 minutes. It came off as a teen movie and the actors had little stage presence. I had a hard time sitting through it I couldn't wait until it was over. Alien resurrection, alien covenant, Alien 3 and Aliens were also very good. It tried to emulate aliens or the original alien movie with the alien coming out of Knicks and crannies but it was done in a much worse manner. Don't waste your time.

Rotten tomatoes gave this film a 50% review, so I thought this might be your standard blood and gore nonsensical slasher movie, but its not, its something very different altogether. The acting, the direction, the cinematography and the script are excellent. This movie throws you off with some surprises. I think because this movie is not your typical blood and gore slasher movie, which of course it does contain blood and gore, but it does so with attention, thoughtfulness and tension. The 50% rotten tomatoes gave this movie is not representative of the quality. It’s very underrated in my opinion and I think it’s gonna be a cult classic one day. Superb.

Judging by all the mediocar reviews this movie received I was not expecting much but I was wrong. I think this movie will be looked upon as an under rated movie in the future. Perhaps a minor cult classic.i think too many movie critics today were raised on video games and super hero movies and they just don't get movies like this. 3.5 stars from me.
