I’ll admit the most impacting thing about this movie was not the film it’s self, but the little girl sitting with her father next to me. All though I had my opinions about the movie (notably the portrayal of skrulls) overall I thought it was good, but after CM powered up towards the end of the movie and I heard that girls excitement the same excitement I had when I first saw iron man get in the suit I knew that this movie was something more than meets the eye. The same excitement for young African Americans kids when black panther debuted, equal representation of everyone is important and something that you take for granted when your a white male, I think that is the biggest thing I took away from captain marvel is that it’s not about me, yes I liked the movie but in the end what’s really important is that every one gets to feel represented and have someone they can look up to in awe and see someone like them kicking names and taking ***. (Yes that was an infinity war reference) 4/5 stars
