I’m being honest, I never had high expectations. I had low expectations, and the movie really impressed me. The movie was great. I absolutely love this new cast, especially the main character’s friend “Podcast.” The visual effects are phenomenal as well. All the ghosts and backgrounds are given a nice cgi polishing. The movie pays homage to the original ghostbuster films, which I think is well done. There is a lot of Easter eggs that remind us of the original ghostbuster films. There’s a lot of memorable moments like the ending fight.
This movie commemorated Harold Ramis like Fast and Furious 7 commemorated Paul Walker, and that’s a good thing.
Furthermore, I liked the cameos from Ghostbuster legends like Annie Potts, Sigourney Weaver, Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson and Dan Aykroyd. The jokes were funny and well-timed. It’s a much better film than the 2016 reboot. The main character may be female, but she’s badass and likeable. McKenna Grace bravely leads an all-star and newcomer cast in this fun action packed movie. I highly recommend this movie.
