I grew up with this series, being 10 when the first one came out in 2010. I also read the whole series, this franchise kickstarted my love for fantasy and adventure. It has changed me, and was a huge part of my childhood. I cannot thank Dean DeBlois and Cressida Cowell enough for making this franchise a part of my childhood. I was absolutely sobbing at the end, and I will never forget it.
