I feel that they dont make movies for intelligent people who love details and secrets only the initiated would know about. Brightburn was ok. However, the movie could have been 10 times the success if they didn't make a rated R movie for kids. What I mean is that even though it was a rated R film, I still feel that it needed alot of work to be just not another teen slash film. There was not enough details in the plot, and I feel that even though they did a great job making the boy creepy, they could have been more creative with his powers since he was a genius aswell. The movie could have brought alot to the table it they made it more raw, better music, and more things for adults to connect with. I miss great writing. Seems like we always get let down with this kind of watered down dark films. Those who were born in the 1980s know that they can do alot better.
