Scrappy gets a bad rap but honestly the series wouldn't have made it through the 80's without him reigniting fading interest in the show. That considered, the Scooby and Scrappy-Doo show is one of the more tolerable incarnations of Scrappy and the show follows the proven "monster of the week" format effectively with fewer "just a dude in a costume" monsters compared to the preceding "Scooby Doo Show", so in all honesty, it's really not that bad of a series. I'm still not sure what magic quality this series possesses that keeps me coming back, even into my 20's, but I can safely say that the Scooby and Scrappy Doo show has that magic just like the series preceding it. If you're still on the fence, give it a try, you might be surprised.
