While I appreciate the Congressman's service to this nation, he along with others have gone to D.C. and drank the Koolaid... Changing the reason why the general was assassinated gives the appearance that there was no evidence of an attack imminent but of a target of opportunity that was actioned. I will not miss the general and as others have stated feel the Middleast is a better place without his presence. That being said, if there were/are plans of an attack does this administration think those plans were canceled because of the generals' death? Generals don't execute plans, they are updated on their progress and give an after-action review of the plan once executed. If there is a plan for an attack, those who would carry out this plan are still out there; planning and waiting for the time to action it. The generals' death was not a deterrence, it was a call to action.
