Bad writing. Quite bad writing. No idea what the writers were thinking with trying to make the story more edgy and more filled with drama as there was a lot of nonsense added and stuff removed that didn't make sense. My biggest gripe with all of this is how people are happy that women are getting more representation with Egwene becoming a chosen when there was no need for that. It's a matriarchal society, which the writers absolutely fail to show. There is no subtlety. All chekovs guns are shot in the air constantly that it's more like chekovs assault rifle. There is no build up just constant explosions of plot. Only reason I'll keep on watching is to see how bad it'll be messed up from here on out.
