The unfortunate choice of Nicolas Rowe, a weedy-framed, weak-chinned, whimpering-voiced Scottish actor as George Washington undercuts the objective of this docudrama...a celebration of the hero of the American Revolution. Not only does Rowe fail to look the part, he also fails to act the part. The actor sounds ridiculously tentative and looks more like Don Knotts in Mayberry while he shouts “Fire!” and “Hold the line!” than the big and brash and bold young Washington. Even more laughably absurd is the miscasting of a man who obviously doesn’t know how to sit on a horse to portray George Washington, a legendary horseman.
