good reference book for Pg students of chemistry preparing for competitive examination in chemistry. Language is easy to understand.

The history of marudhu pandiars is well known through this book .Few years before i read a news item in THE HINDU which was about Rev. Fr, Baucheem, parish priest of sarugani , chinnamarudhus support to the church, chinnamarudhus invitation to nathambadaiyars from old tanjore to cultivate in the dence forests and vacant lands around kalairkoil [calaicoel] in the sivaganga dt. I read a few books in tamil and the stories about marudhus,kattabomman, and oomaidurai. The real situation in those days is clearly depicted in this book. I salute colonel James welsh for mentioning even the sweetness of the oranges with thick skin [it must be NARTHAMBALLAM OR KIDARAMBALLAM] which is available in this area. Marudhus honest support to oomaidurai turned the british company against them and the persevarance of the british in attacking kalairkoil are clearly revealed in this book. Being a man from paramakudi i know from the HINDU that a copy of the book MILLITARY REMINESENCE is available in kannimara library chennai. It is a good fortune to come across such a book in google. thanks to google books.
