In spite of all its flaws I enjoyed it for what it was .. entertainment! I don’t need perfection for something to be enjoyable. I questioned a lot of the decisions and things that were done but enjoyed the story enough to see it through the end.

This movie is phenomenal! I know it’s being dubbed a horror film but in my opinion, it’s a movie with horror elements. And though there are vampires in the movie it is not a movie about vampires. The story is so nuanced and rich that the story lives with you long after you’ve left the theater.

I love GNX! And while it is not my favorite Kendrick Lamar album it is far from trash. "Reincarnated" is my favorite song on the album with "no skips" for me. I like the arrangement of the album. In between the deep thought and emotionally provoking songs you get something fun and upbeat. "Hey Now" is my favorite uptempo song from the album. I have had this album in heavy rotation and on repeat since it dropped. You don't have to love it like I do but anyone saying this album is trash are clearly biased. If not for any other song, "Man at the Garden" has become and inspirational anthem for many during this season.

I don’t know who gave this movie a low rating but I beg to differ. As a black woman I must say this moving was riveting, inspirational and moving. The movie depicted what black servicewomen endured and yet had to main decorum. This movie deserves a much higher rating than what’s reflected.

I enjoyed this movie a lot. I am not big on movies and it takes a lot to hold my interest but I found this storyline intriguing. The movie was not flawless but definitely worth watching.

In spite of he poor reviews I actually enjoyed the movie! Though it may have appeared predictable on the surface there were underlying subtexts to this movie which added depth. And above all that was my takeaway. I didn’t get caught up or bogged down in the predictable whirlwind romance/ love affair but I looked beyond that. I paid attention to the characters individual struggle. I recommend this movie for mature adults only.

I just finished watching The Banker.. The movie was great because of its relevance in this moment! They were fighting against housing discrimination and inequality in the 60’s and here we are in 2020 fighting for living wages against the wealth gap. The events are years apart the fight and the struggle for African Americans, Black or whatever national you subscribe to outside of Caucasian.
