This movie progresses slowly as we're introduced to a cast of fine black actors, among them the lead, Isaa Rae, a sultry, alluring, mysteriously attractive woman to keep one's eyes focus on her range of emotions from tears to a beautiful smile that lights the room. She's paired with Lakeith Stanfield, whose performance is reminiscent of Sidney Poitier, together deliver a splendid performance as lovers. The plot is mildly tedious yet captivating when revealing that Rob Morgan is the father she never knew and her mother is played by Chanté Adams, the woman captured in a black and white photograph at the beginning of the movie, something that is revealed gradually in the movie plot.
