Mainly watched it for Park Bo-Geum's performance. The storyline is quite simple, no major striking events, and the pace is slow (if you're gonna watch, I strongly suggest faster playback speed or skipping through the middle). And the romance between the two characters just didn't resonate with me as much as other relationships did, such as Hometown Cha Cha Cha. I was also expecting more reaction from Taegyeong when President Cha decided not to show up for the memorial, but nothing happened. It boils down to some beautiful scenes in Cuba in the beginning.

Absolutely loved it! Started off a bit slow, but quickly turned into a binge-worthy thriller. As a political science student, I found the storyline to be deeply thought provoking, nudging you to re-think what we mean by justice, power and influence. I swear the director meant to play with our emotions in the last couple episodes, sending us on a pendulum swing between hope and despair. Fantastic work over all.

I absolutely loved this show, watching Grumpy Beom turn cases upside down with his incredible discoveries. I was expecting more in terms of the relationship between him and the prosecutor, to be honest. And the ending was strange for me; it left many things unclear. That said, it's a thrilling, binge-worthy show.

Although the pace was slow at first and a major part of the plot only began to unravel in the last five episodes, I really liked this show; it warmed my heart so much that I wish I lived in Gongjin :)
