I love George and I love Midnight Skies, but I didn't like the movie The Midnight Sky. Each critic, to their own. There were times I was at the edge of my seat but the thrill dwindled soon. I generally like films that have some form of closure, or, films that leave you questioning if something was really true. Almost like an OMG moment where it enlighteningly dawns on you that one thing May have been connected to another! It leaves a feeling of incompleteness yet satisfaction. I didn't get that from this film. What happened to Earth? Where were the people evacuated to? Mention was made of alien life forms but no such stimulation was offered of ET life. How is a pregnant woman going to deliver her baby in space? And why didn't George just let her know he's her dad after all, knowing he's going to die anyway? Why did he choose to stay behind on the lonely planet? When Maya died in the spacecraft, how did they clear all the blood? Also, we all knew someone would die during the spacewalk. When the 2 men flew back to earth to be with their family, did they survive or find their loved ones? Why was Iris's child-character muted, when Iris herself, the adult, could speak? Sci fi is my cup of tea, but films with a bit more clarity or closure is my preference..... Stranger Things, Aliens, ET, etc. The graphics in outer space in this film, are top notch. George is sexy. The kid, cute as peas.....
