His writing is engaging and entertaining all while being uplifting and informative. As an artist, I feel like this book has given me more confidence and joy in my craft. As a Christian, I feel like this work has shown me the beauty and purpose of what I'm called to do. As a Christian Artist - I want to recommend this book to everyone I know.
Get it. Read it. You won't regret it.
I have never in my entire life actually read through a full non-fiction book...until now. (I'm not exaggerating, either)
My husband got this book for me because I recently decided to try and make a career as an author and we both love Andrew Peterson's work - all his work. I was appreciative but I kind of thought it would be little more than one more thing of his to put on our shelf. I knew myself better than to think I'd actually read it.
I finally picked it up out of curiosity/obligation/boredom and not only did I read through it I actually enjoyed it! I didn't want to put it down and looked forward to when I could pick it up again after getting some sleep. His stories made me laugh and some even brought tears to my eyes.
I sometimes joke with friends that as far as my husband and I are concerned everything Andrew Peterson touches turns to gold. I thought this book would be an exception - Boy was I wrong.
