After anticipating this film for so many years, sadly, I’m disappointed. There was way too much focus on trying to get the audience to love a relationship that really isn’t really all that lovely. 🤷🏾‍♂️ Jus sayin. We get the whole ‘undying love’ thing, but the casting, acting and directing put intrinsic limits on the extent to which we, the audience, can truly empathize, or even believe. I like the characters, but I care more about their abilities than I do their feelings for each other, even though their love is the threaded narrative for the saga. Also, generally, some aspects relating to highlighting their abilities were just too contrived, and shamelessly focused on motivating sociopolitical agendas, to the extent that they forfeited allowing the audience to opportunity to celebrate the main character we’ve watched grow, and all waited so long to see what awe inspiring things they would do next. So disappointing.
