Solid romantic dramedy. Though I had the sense that it started to get lost in itself a couple of times in the last half, it pulled back into focus nicely. I appreciated the foray into the mystical. Thought the cast did a really great job. Seo Hyun Jin was excellent and I'm very grateful for the introduction to Eric Mun...ooh lala oh my (but not in a gross way).

The cringiest cringefest in all of cringendom. At one point in ep 11 when they left the leather chair fart in the final cut, I thought maybe they had been going for satire the whole time. Having said that, I watched every episode and acknowledge that a lot of people put in a lot of work. The cringe factor did not make me stop watching. It was perhaps partly charming.

I was really enjoying this show (as painful as ep 14 was to watch) and then the last 2 episodes happened. I really enjoyed the style of the show, the actors, the characters and their stories. And then in episode 15 and 16 it seemed like the writers had quit and someone very unprofessional came in and said "all right, let's wrap this thing up in the most cliche, nonsensical way possible". It really put me off the whole show. I found it super annoying and almost insulting.

I really love this show...the writing, acting, directing, sets, costumes, action scenes etc. Every time I watch it I love it. I found it pretty sentimental, mushy, a little too tragic sometimes, and still enjoy it. My secret wish is that Night Immortal finds what he needs. 😁 I wish the title was a direct translation because I find the title "Ashes of Love" too hokey but I love the show itself.

Love, love, love this show. I love the style, the casting, the acting, the writing, the directing, music, just everything. Everyone did a really brilliant job. At first I had trouble with the really troubling behaviour of the characters, but the characters evolved which I loved to see. Really, bravo!

I really expected to love this show. I loved Mr. Sunshine and really enjoyed Goblin so I was really surprised to have such a hard time with this one. I really like the story idea. I just find everything else about this production really off.

I really liked everything about this show. Loved it's style, the characters, the story, the humour, the ending. Loved how it answered all my questions and didn't leave anything dangling. I think everyone working on this show did a really excellent job.
