I intentionally did not find out much before watching because I have been disappointed in the past by over marketing of this great story. I just want more of this. There were absolutely parts that did not conform to the story as was written by Frank Herbert, however, I felt it tried to adapt the story well. Yes casting didn't follow the original story, I didn't "like" that, though I didn't dislike it either. Some parts are absolutely in there for fans, and tease fans.
