We know this is historical fiction, but at least get things rights. For example, Catherine’s Spanish accent is horrible and she speaks the last amount of Spanish, and the title is The Spanish Princess! While the whole thing is very beautifully produced, with scenes of the Alhambra and colorful costumes, it is badly cast. Isabel la Catolica or Queen Isabella is portrayed as a warrior queen, almost Viking or Xena levels, that you would not believe. Finally, they always refer to Spain as Spain, when by this time, it is known as either the kingdoms of Castile and Aragon. This is why Catherine is called Catherine of Aragon! Plus, how can you like Catherine of Aragon when on the first episode, she comes out as some spoiled rich princess, looking down on English weather and insisting to have a siesta. (Have they developed siesta at a time when everyone is hustling to defeat the Moors away from Spain?) There are so many young Spanish actresses who can give credence to the role AND ACTUALLY SPEAK SPANISH. Plus, all the mushy moments with Henry and Catherine are just too...gross. When this actress played Myranda in Game of Thrones, she was more believable inlove with Ramsay Bolton.
