As if somebody combined The Shining, AHS, Frankenstein and Les Fleurs du Mal. Very touching series. Some episodes can be a bit trite and it seems like the story could've eadily unfolded in 5 or 6 episodes instead of 12. Regardless, it's a very tender tale, more loving than terrifying. I absolutely loved the mother characters, all of them - it seems like the writer managed to capture a bit of the enigmatic and insane nature of motherly love.
