Very poignant and heartfelt look at the love between a son and his failing dad. The father was an accomplished director of the Peking Opera genre, but the son is an ingenious creator of puppetry who goes beyond the formal lines of the Opera. The son uses much of the opera's formalism to generate a loving tribute for his father's lessons, which leads him onto his own magic journey.
