I havta say that by about the 2nd round of the very first show, I had decided that....I was in!! This would be a great new little fav of mine, to watch early in the morning, or late at night, while alone in my "me time!" However, sadly, it didn't take long to steal my thunder, and remind me why I don't watch these types of shows. The obviously better and absolute confectionery queens got sacked in the last round by great bakers......BUT!! Def NOT THE BEST!! Breanna and Bonnie sooooo deserved to when. Especially considering the winning cake made by Viviann and Samantha wasn't even a whole cake! 🍰 Every single cake they made stuck in the pans, so they only had broken and crumbly pieces that they patched back together with icing! Which is also the reason for the funky cutting they did in order to serve the judges. AND, their planet was a big Rice Crispy Treat! Which, YES, alot of bakers do that....but everything B & B made was actually baked cake. For a baking competition, I'd think that would be more important. I also felt their tier cake was very lacking. Although, plain white wouldn't be my first choice for coloring planets...I feel they could have added a little silver dusting and 🌟 starry glitter to look more realistic and appealing. It would have changed the entire boring feel. Especially when the judges also asked for something "eye-popping and surprising." Because, this was neither of those things. The judges even complained about the texture being off and their cake balls being dry/rubbery. Yet they complimented the losing cake for everything!! Merely suggesting the actual cakes tiger strips could have been a different color. And yes! For that, they lost!! I find it so aggravating, I hate to even try and watch another episode. I swear, it seems this stuff happens every time I get interested in these type shows. Uggh!🙄 So annoying 😡
