The plot is easy to follow and If you try not to think too much about it its a good movie but if you actually think about it and try to find logic in it a lot of scenes have too many inconsistencies.

In war there are no winners. This movie is about two children struggling to keep body and soul together during ww2. It depicts two things, the monstous nature of war and the indiscriminate nature of hunger.
