Calling out (correct me if I am wrong)~~ One of your commentators credited a certain person for inventing, "The Wave" (this was mentioned as film crew showed fans doing, "The Wave" today at NASCAR Daytona 500 Race). *"The Wave" was actually invented by, "Crazy George", a unique cheerleader who led cheers/moves on his own at San Jose' State University in California. He cheered from '68 on through the late 70's (at least), then went on to cheer pro football games (for, "The 49ers"? - not sure). He was also known for climbing up high on flag poles, to lead cheers!
