Disappointed Customer

Too much thrown into one episode. Episode 7-8 were bad enough as far as both movies making sense. Episode 9, however, takes the cake unfortunately. Without needing to know, it is clear that the same director didn’t direct all three films. Episodes 7-8 did not connect story wise, and 8-9 connected even less. Not once in the previous films was Palpatine foreshadowed (unless you’re interested in fan theories), so episode 9 had the feel that Palpatine was thrown into the movie to try and save the trilogy. While I do believe Rey being a Palpatine was the plan from the beginning, episode 8 went so far off course to what the lead up was supposed to be, that nothing made sense. Also, all the jokes and corny nostalgia throughout the movie added to the frustration. The nostalgia was forced in to please fans and the jokes for the most part were poor quality, or too often. After watching this movie I rated it a 3/10. I hope after rewatching it I can enjoy it more.
