I love this series with all of my heart, but this particular game is infuriatingly unfinished! Things that I normally count on are missing or unfinished and the environments are clunky. For instance: Your Raven is useless - I usually use my feathered friend, but I ignore it in this game. Compass points disappear before you arrive. Map information is minimal and certain objects are not selectable. Enemies will often seemingly teleport into you giving you no chance to block their attacks. Several times, I have fallen through the terrain or gotten stuck in it forcing me to fast travel. Today, I spent a long period in combat with no enemies nearby - this prevents you from fast traveling. This is the buggiest release of a Ubisoft game that I have seen in a long time. The game design overall is most like Black Flag, which I loved. Maybe when they get the thousands of bugs fixed, I will like it better. In the mean-time, I guess I will just keep a-Vikingr until they patch it.
