I watched this morning's segment on Andy Cohen and was disappointed that CBS didn't confer with the medical staff to learn why he was denied contribution to the blood bank. Had you checked it out you might have learned that it takes several months to sero-convert to having HIV antibodies in the blood. This would mean that someone could donate blood while testing negative but be in process of converting and inadvertently pass HIV to the blood receiver . It would appear that CBS was more concerned with creating alarm and dismay for ratings rather than representing the truth which wouldn't even be newsworthy. .
