Even after the 70th time watching Secretariat round the final turn of the Belmont Stakes, my heart pounds and my eyes well with tears. The movie shows just how important Secretariat was to the 1970s, giving them a ray of hope through “the horse god built.” As a teenager in 2019, I never experienced the influence he had on everyone, but I can feel his magnificence through the crowds and the energy the movie projects. 10/10 recommend!
