It might have helped if there was at least one likeable character or relationship in the movie, but I think the only possibility was killed off at the beginning. The chimp as a device was like getting hit on the head, unnecessary for some and confusing for others. The alien was great at first, until it wasn't...anyone who has seen the movie will know what I mean. It seems to me that Peele was explaining too much, most of his audience would have gotten it iwth a lot less pandering...seriously theater curtains???

It kind of reminds me of Psycho...only Norman is dead and the Mother is alive.
