Isa pa with feelings, is not your typical Filipino romantic movie you'll like if you're 12 or if you're a hopeless romantic soul. I'm not much of a fan of our local films but this! This film succeeds on almost every level, the trailer, the way characters were portrayed, the directing, the shots, its narrative and moral, the whole production - phenomenal!! - The trailer (specifically - Isa Pa With Feelings Official Teaser | Carlo Aquino & Maine Mendoza | Isa Pa With Feelings uploaded by Black Sheep) made me see this movie. The way they revealed the plot is just brilliant, brilliant I say! - Filmwise, every scene, sequence is both gripping and relevant to the point that you'll be really concerned how they'll end it, 'cause it's really good, and endings are no joke. It's so hard to put up a good ending for every good start, but yes! It's still an out-and-out masterpiece! Can't think of any better way to end it. The movie gives you the whole view of the characters, especially Gali. Don't wanna give it away, but every time they show Gali's deaf POV I swear, your senses will feel more and it's just more moving. - As for acting, I'm so close for not watching it 'cause of Maine Mendoza, but since it's not a Maine-Alden tandem (sorry) and an average APT production base on the trailer, (APT really did a good job here and of course black sheep) I just thought I'd give it a shot, and still 'cause of the trailer. Carlo Aquino (Gali) deaf portrayal will make you listen to his emotions and Maine Mendoza! (Mara) can surprisingly make you ugly cry. They're perfect for the role! I'm so happy that Maine was able to showcase her talent with this part and that it's not just another adorably daffy role. Seen this so many times and would still have a ball, and the weight of the emotions given is perpetual. This movie makes you wanna write a movie review just so you can share how smashing this is. I can go on and on simping as nothing is enough for their amazing talent and truly they deserves more recognition. Props to the whole team! ❤
